Calculator is a working reference for money in Tanzania, published by Delta Tech Solutions in Dar es Salaam. The tools work in shillings and follow the rules that apply here: the TRA PAYE bands, NSSF and PSSSF pension contributions, the 18% VAT rate, HESLB student-loan deductions, the SDL and WCF levies an employer pays on top of wages, mobile-money tariffs, service levy and presumptive tax, property transfer duty and vehicle registration fees.

Every tool prints its formula, states the assumptions it makes and names the cases where the answer does not apply; the ones that depend on a published rate or tariff cite where that figure came from and when it was last checked. Figures are maintained by David M, and each page carries the date of the next scheduled check.

Five rates in that register are listed as not yet dated rather than given a date that would not be true — the NSSF, PSSSF, SDL and HESLB contribution rates and the mobile-money withdrawal levy — and the pages using them say so in their own byline. Closing those is a document read, not an engineering task, and it is on the review list.

That date matters. Tax bands are revised, tariffs change and exchange rates move daily, so a figure without a date is only a guess. Every figure, its source, and when it was last checked.
